MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

So this is our tree a couple of weeks ago before it was finished. We got some cheap glass bulbs and didn't realize that they didn't come with the hooks. I wasn't going to post any of the pictures until the tree was finished but now our camera is broken. I didn't want to let Christmas come and go without posting these pictures of our cute short tree and our cute boy! A couple of days later we finished our tree and it looks great! It's mostly red and silver with superman on the top. I am so excited for Christmas!!!! Jackson is old enough to understand about Santa and it is making things super fun. Ben's parents and brother are coming. I'm going to miss my family and our traditions (mostly just ripping in to everything with no organization and chili on Christmas eve) but I am also so excited to be here and sharing Christmas with most of Ben's family. I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!

CRAZY KID

So Jackson does a couple of things that are just so weird! They would be funny except for the fact that they drive me crazy.......

He stores food in his cheek. It used to just be when we ate chicken. He would take as many bites as we made him and chew a little and then keep it in his cheek. He's pretty good about hiding it if you are not looking for it. It is turning into a very bad habit. This week it turned into everything. Even things that he really loves. Oranges, french fries, olives, ham, and more. He will keep it in there for HOURS. No joke. We restrict treats, or computer time, even bath time until he swallows it but he never will. Eventually we have to let him spit it out. I just don't know what to do!

OK one more thing. Jackson is very concerned with mine and Ben's happiness. He will always ask us if we are happy or sad. That alone is fine but he always does it after he does something that he knows he shouldn't do. If he has an accident he'll look you right in the face and ask "Are you happy mom?". Or you'll ask him not to do something and he'll do it anyways and ask " Are you happy or sad?". The worst is the combo of the two things.......when I ask to see in his mouth and there is a cheek load of food in there and then he asks if I'm happy.

I love the kid more then anything and most of the things he does and says are so cute and make me so happy!!!! But I don't understand why he can't just chew and swallow his food. Right now him and Ben are playing and they are so cute and my life is GREAT! I guess if these are my biggest complaints then we're not doing too bad.

Ben teasing Jackson....if you listen real close you can hear Ben in the background telling Jackson to be careful which is what is making him laugh.

all ready for church

Thanksgiving and SNOW

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!! The whole trip home was great! We got to spend a lot of time with both sides of our families. We are so lucky that our parents live so close together and we can see them both in one trip. We always do Thanksgiving at both of our houses and it works out great! Ben's family is always so willing to compromise because my family already has so many people to work around. Both dinners were fantastic! I love feasting!!!!! We got to be around a ton of little kids and even got to meet Jackson's new cousin Adam who is adorable! We never brought our camera anywhere so the very last day I got a couple of shots right before my baby shower started. Jackson loves all of the babies and has taken a special liking to his cousin Ava and wanted to hold her all of the time. So I am glad I at least got a shot of that. So the last day i was home my friend Tyleen through me a baby shower for Dutch and it was great! We got soooooooo many cute clothes! Seriously everything is so great!!! She is going to be the best dressed little girl ever. I am going to have to post a picture everyday so that everyone can see all of her little outfits. Thank you to everyone who made our trip so GREAT!
So we woke up this morning to snow!!! Jackson was so excited! It was really hard to get him to eat his breakfast. He would take a bite and then run to the window and look outside. He did this all through breakfast. When we finally went outside he loved it! We mostly just walked around in it. For awhile he decided to clean off all of the big rocks and then later he started to pile more and more snow onto the cars and rocks. He even got brave and tasted it. He doesn't have snow boots yet and he had to wear a pair of my gloves but it didn't seem to faze him. We only stayed outside for about 20 minutes but we had a great time!
